Raffle Rifle-- Sawmiller Engraving

Gentlemens:

I would like to personally thank Mr. Sawmiller for the exceptional job of engraving on the 2009 raffle rifle. We could not ask for more suitable engraving. The design and style are spot on for the period and the execution is excellent. You cannot appreciate from the pictures how crisp and bright the cuts are.  It is impossible to overstate how perfectly this engraving fits the project.

I have not had an opportunity to examine Mr. Sawmiller's work before, but I will make a point of seeing more.

Respectfully,

Glenn Fewless

I saw that receiver before he started on it... but I can hardly believe it's the same chunk of steel.   Smiley  I sure am glad I'm not on the board anymore!  Cheesy

Gentlemens:

I just thought I would bring this up again. I just took the barreled action to the shop of a friend who is a charter member of the ACGG, and he was as taken with the quality of the engraving as I was. This is really fine work.

The rifle nears completion. The butt plate, lever and palm rest base are out for nickel plating. The action will go out for Carbona blue on Monday. When all the pieces come back home we will put it together and see what we have...
