Help Identify Unknown Antique Powder Measure!!!!
Sep 12th, 2008 at 1:58pm
Print Post
I just picked up a bunch of early Ideal powder measures.  This measure was among them but it sure ain't an Ideal or any other make I'm familiar with.  Bench mounted black powder measure with sliding charge bar.  Please see photos.  If anyone can tell me the maker I'd really appreciate it.
Thank you,
Leon (ACGould)

Leon,
If you go to the Antique Reloading Tool Collector's forum, I'm sure someone will give you an answer fast.-Vall

Hi Leon,

Whatever it is, it sure looks way cool!  Wink It looks pretty similar to the basic design that Schoyen used for his duplex measure.  Take a look at the version of his design which has the metal reservoir tube(s) similar to yours.  Might be a starting point, anyway!

Regards,
Froggie
