Very nice rifles! Looks like an original Remington Long Range Rolling Block #1 and a Mid-Range Hepburn #3.
I would guess that the medal might however be from a Schuetzen competition between Americans and Germans because of the flags crossed at the bottom. The right one is American of course and the left one is the flag of the old German Empire that was used from 1871-1918.
The crown on the medal also makes me think of Schuetzen shooting. It seems to have been a popular theme on Schuetzen medals.
I'm not aware of any long range competition between the USA and Germany but I could be wrong.

Hi,
I agree with the identification of your Remingtons.  The medal appears to be from one of the many 19th Century German-American Schuetzen Clubs. They were into 200 yard/meter offhand and not Creedmore long range matches which were pretty well confined to the US and British shooters.   I can't make out the inscription from your photo.  If you could spell it out along with any marks on the reverse one or more of our members may be able to pin it down further.
Cheers,

On the front it says Lattman Medal, nothing written on the back.  The case it came in has Aug. J. Christen New York written in the silk on inside top. Script in center may be JFC or JTC.

Modar,
I'm not sure if this will come through, but it is a picture of what I was told a copy of the original Creedmoor medal.  The engraving was changed to American Single Shot Rifle Association but the medal shape was supposed to have been copied from an original.  It was given out in 1999 for the World Championship Long Range team competition hels at Quantico, VA  (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
