Thank you Paul.
Yes, that did answer 'most' of the questions. Now to get on to the Kansas City Cabela's to get one. I placed an order for one back on
04-June-08, no word at this writing.
Cabela's told me their standard pricing policy is 'suggested retail MINUS 10%.' I found that to be the case in purchasing a Quigley .45-70 there.
UPDATE:
Just spoke with purchasing agent at Cabela's and he is going to check with their importer, Taylor's & Co., Inc. regarding the DP High Wall.  Cabela's purchasing power may be a decided advantage in being the first on the block for this new toy.

Will do. Mr. Bivens did say the price should be about 15 something, based on the $1,775.00 price I have seen in the link you supplied. That would be consistent with the pricing on the Quigley.

Well, ask him how fast he can get a .38-55 model for that "15-something" Smiley
And will he ship to my dealer?

I have been drooling over these rifles since the shot show. Cherry's Fine Guns is the only importer to have ordered the High Wall and that was confirmed by Pierangelo Pedersoli by email. Cherry's has only four guns coming in Aug and six on backorder. Kevin Cherry says there has been a lot of interest but with only four guns its a first come first serve basis.
I'm not waiting so i confirmed one of the four has my name on it Smiley

Well that is not what Lisa of Taylor's Co. Inc. told me. She said they had some coming in within the next 2 weeks to 10 days. She did not say how many. Mr. Bivens of the KC Cabela's also called and spoke with Lisa and conveyed the same information to me.
SOOOO!! Seems to be several mixed messages. Guess we will all just have to wait and see.

Good Day
Is it true that Cherry,s Fine Guns is the only company bringing into the
USA your new High Wall in 38-55? If not would you please send me the names
of others so that I can have my local dealer contact one.
Thank you
Robert M

Mr. BULLSHOT, You are absolutely correct. I was given wrong information by TAYLOR'S.  Angry  In the following email from Pedersoli on 25-July-08 they clearly state that NO high wall orders were recieved from Taylor's. I don't know why Taylor's would say there were high wall rifles to be delivered at the end of July when they had not even ordered any. Taylor's told Cabela's the same story. Guess it will just be a long wait and miss this years shooting season. Cry

Thank you for your inquiry and for the interest in our guns.

We did not ship any of our High Wall rifles to Taylor's company yet and in
case they place the order now we will not be able to ship it until the end
of September. Our company is closing for Summer holidays the month of
August, as all other manufacturing activities do in Italy.

May we suggest you to place your order with Cabela's  to secure the first
next availability of our High Wall rifles?

Feel free to stay in touch with us.

Best regards,
