got a couple of mirror lens' on nikons, think they are great. also use a celestron mirror spotting scope. it's lower powered that a kowa and lower priced too. the field of view is wider than a kowa. and i think thats much better for mirage reading.

the kowa's higher power and narrow field of view, puts them way down on my list of practical scopes for shooting.. but they are high on the list for snob appeal..
