Tell us the hole spacing on the tang sight base. As I recall there are 2 different Remington hole spacings (at least on Hepburns), but if it has either of those and is a proper style it will probably be original.

The most common spacing used by Rem. was 1.90", but I can't remember the other spacing.

To answer your question NO its a very poor copy of nothing the base is closer to sharps and the staff is  at best a home made item.

Wow, look at those great picture's. Really nice Icky.

The sight however is of the low low grade, made in a cave between yer feet and a big rock and chizel type of sight.

It certainly has character!!

Beating some top notch shooter's who are using the high grade stuff would be a blast!   Wink

LOL!  That's exactly what I was thinking!
But then, I built an NRA Match Rifle out of a Swede M96 just because one guy said "you'll never get one of those to shoot"...  so I'm a little weird to begin with.

That sight ain't pretty, but it might be "good enough" to have a lot of fun with, and do a lot of shooting with.  (or it might not...).
