Charles Hamilton over at the CB-L has accused me of plagiarism and using what others have written without permission. The table attached shows what's in the book today and who wrote it. You can see what's in the book in FILES at

There are a number of ASSRA forum folks on the list.
I believe that I got permission to use each of these articles and messages before putting them in the book. If I'm wrong and you want me to delete what you've written, or to change what you've written, please respond here or to me at joeb33050@yahoo.com. I will delete or change that part immediately.
Thanks for your indulgance, sorry if I used your work without permission.

I'm no expert at book's that's for sure. But, if Joe is gonna write a novel I think it should have elements in it that I like. That is , since I'm the only one that's gonna read it. It should have a young man in it, early teens. Coon hunting with hound dog's. Should be set in the south at the turn of the century.  A girl of course, freckles and pig tails. A big rifle match. A state fair. Hot apple pie's in a window. Some sort of near tragedy, maybe the girl gets her pigtail caught in the wirlygig on the tractor at the fair. But it doesnt kill her. maybe she has to wear a wig for a while. It's gotta have a big ole dog, a chocolate Lab would be nice. There should be a uncle or grandparents in it. Church.  The bickering and fighting should be kept to a bare minimum.  Oh, I almost forgot, a tree house and a burglar that they can't catch.  It seems to me this sort of novel would be a whole lot easier and worth more than what Joe is trying to do now. Get busy on your new novel Joe, I cant wait to read it.    Joe.

Joe all kidding aside, In my humble opinion,

The internet is the wild west, No rules, no one knows who you are are or what you know. Anyone who puts something out there is giving licence to have it re-used changed twisted alterted mis quoted, anything.

I don't think thats a bad thing as information is shared without any watering down or altering for editors or publishers personal or financal reasons. anyone reading someting on the internet or taken from it should consider that.

To the point you can use anything I posted as long as you don't use my real name or provide any contact details

Boats, AKA as Hilliary, will you please get serious!  These internet forums are serious bussiness! it's all some people got. If Joe would take my advice and write the novel he could have a big rifle match in there. Then he could write anything he wants about guns and shooting. How could he get in trouble? It's a novel.

And, whats wrong with the wild west? I live in the west! I like the west.
I dont think I like your tone mister!  By gobbs!           Westerner.

Westerner

The West is great no doubt about it.

Getting serious  it seems to me Joe is putting something together like you see in CBA's newsletter. Guys that have an opinon on how something should work posted without any editor filtering details.  Some if it is good some not, you read it and make up your own mind.  You probably ought to identify the information as such in some sort of preamble.

Other books and magazines look and sound authoritive and some are, however looking slick does not always mean the information is good. I  read a whole lot and can say some of the well know writers and publications re hash old data and keep half truiths and old wives tales going. Just because they seem to be experts does not mean they are.

As a general rule the guy closest to the job knows the most about it, The guy writing about something almost always gets it from someone else. The writer who has  actual experence is a rare bird. Joe could well capture some real good information.

I say let Joe have at it, read what he puts together and either discount or take it as gospel at your own risk.

Ok Joe, Go ahead write your book any way you want. If you use anything I said, dont blame me! You, are on your own. A novel would
have been nice. I suppose there's lots of nice novels already out there.
If you are going to keep making people mad at you, you should resolve yourself to run with the bucks. You know, a thick neck and hide.
One other thing I wished I knew is, What kind of book are you writing? I dont get to all these other forums much. What is the book about? Whats the purpose? Will it be published in book form? Is it some kind of virtual web siborg book?   If you write the novel I want to be the uncle.  And I could be offhand rifle champion of the world. I would be willing to do that.                      Joe.

The first edition was published by the CBA some 2 years ago. The second edition is at (You need to Login or Register to view media files and links)
in FILES, go there, sign in, and it's free to all.
It's close to done, we're finishing up the process of having everything I wrote edited by two editors-means twice. We're missing some few articles, including one on BP Schuetzen -the table of contents identifies the missing parts.
It's up and free now. It contains some spreadsheets/workbooks. It will be available on a CD this summer or earlier. It will be printed in ~ a year, there are a lot of pictures needed, a lot of picture editing needed.
We're always looking for additions, deletions, corrections. There are ~120 people who've contributed so far.

Westerner,
What you have does sound like an interesting novel, but I believe it could be a smash hit country song. Maybe you should pitch that idea to a song writer instead. Maybe a Hank Jr, or David Allen Coe type. On second thougt not so much David Allen Coe, oh the things he'd have that girl and boy doing between the shooting match and state fair.

Merwin merwin merwin, you rained on my parade buddy!
I was hoping to get Joe to convert it to screen play script. Possibly a Walt Disney movie.
My god man, get your mind out of the gutter!  Oh, wait. Did you mean , maybe the boy and girl are eating the pies and not the burglar?
Maybe there never was a burgler?   Well, it could be made into any sort of story.  My mind set was along the lines Walt Disney would be proud of.                                                      Joe.
