Hello Glenn,
Sadly I don't have much in the way of original 'Borchardt Long Range Rifle' photographs. I will Email the few I have to you. The 1878 Sharps Catalogue has probably the most authentic picture. This is a line drawing. I'll try and scan it for you.
Al Sledges rifle can be seen in several pictures at :-

George Petersen makes a very nice stock for the Sharps Borchardt, it is figured on his website :-

Scroll down, it is listed under 'Customer finished Sharps Long Range' stock. This in the nearest modern reproduction I have seen of the original. It has the 'S' shaped bottom to the pistol grip.
In an Email to me, Al Sledge stated he believes that the comb for Long Range should be about 1" higher than that which is seen on most stocks in order to keep your cheek on the buttstock at long distances.
Just in case your not aware of it, there is very, very little wood between the top of the pistolgrip and the stockbolt hole, due to the odd angle that the stockbolt comes out of the rear of the action. A higher comb would help remedy this problem somewhat.
I also have a copy of an article on the original Borchardt with some pictures of the early Long Range Models including some of the first that were used at the Creedmoor Range.
