I may be interested in a C. Sharps High Wall, has anybody had any experience with them? Would appreciate any feedback anyone can provide. Thanks! Joe S

I love mine, it shoots better than I can hold it and I am working on that.

The Badger barrel seems very good............ However

Negatives
Their color case hardening is very dark and color is hard to see
They stain their walnut which hides the grain
They leave to much wood on the stock, very fat compared to an original Winchester.
They need to offer faster twist barrels (1-18 standard on 40 cal)

I know it sounds like I am being critical, but I am not, the one I have is my silhouette gun and it will shoot great and I have had nothing but good experiences with the gun and the people at C-Sharps.

I would buy another in a heart beat if it was something I wanted at the right price (and then I would take some wood off it  Roll Eyes

Caveat emptor, IMO at least where C.Sharps is concerned. I don't think that I personally would pay $1000s for a rifle that needed woodwork.

Shilohs don't need no stinkin' woodwork!
But YMMV, good luck, Joe

Yeah but Shiloh doesn't build beautiful highwalls...or graceful rollers........only homely old sharps patterns

If we could only talk Kirk into building a real gun........

What? Is this the Twilight Zone? With all this loose talk about such things as beautiful highwalls & graceful (!?) rollers, now I'm scared I'm gonna turn into Twiggy or Tiny Tim!

Now, I will admit (and have even gone into detail in the Journal about how) a wall or a roller could be MADE beautiful and/or graceful. but IMO it takes a little work most of the time............
JMOFWIW, no offense intended, good luck, Joe
