Wesson #1 Long Range Rifle

Gentlemens:

I just got word from my good friend Ben the Knifemaker that our lovely and talented resident engraver Mr. Hurst is all but done scratching on my Wesson #1 Long Range action. I am also told that Mr. Hurst will be posting pictures later today.

I can't wait to see them!

Gentlemens:

And it's mine. All Mine!!!!  Ah Ha HA HA!!! (Evil, maniacal laughter)

Mr. Hurst really did it this time, didn't he? The more I look at the pictures the more I see. And like the rest of his work, pictures just don't it justice. The rest of us are going to have to work our tails off to make the rest of the rifle worthy of this fine work.

Thank you Ken. I could not be more pleased.

I have not replied to you as I am having SERIOUS computer problems. My e-mail is not working on my desktop. I may be able to use my laptop tomorrow. This is bummer time.

However, you are going to have a GORGEOUS rifle. I full expect to have it in front of my camera lens when it is finished. Jealous? NO!
Envious? You betcha! Grin I am truly happy for you.

Glenn,
Mr. Ken did a REAL fine job. Can you imagine how good he's going to be in a couple of years. Grin Sorry Ken, I couldn't help myself. Smiley

BTW, should I let eveyone know that YOU are about to take the plunge into the world of the "Dark arts"? I found the tanks and as soon as I can find a box they are on their way to you.

Gentlemenz:

Seeing as how Mr. Mann is threatening to disclose my deepest darkest secrets, I think perhaps it is time that I 'outed' him.

Mr. Doug Mann is a Guild member stockmaker from IL.  Mr. Mann has kindly consented (after a short heart to heart discussion with my friends Guido and Vinny) to do the checking on the Wesson stock. His work is truly first class. (or else!...) Wink

I am truly fortunate to have such excellent craftsman as Messrs. Pennell, Hurst and Mann working on this rifle. It is going to be one extraordinary rifle.

Folks, Mr. HST asked me to post this photo of his nearly-finished Wesson stocks...now they're off to Mr. Mann for some checkering magic!

WOW Mr. Greg,   I love that soft luster you worked up on the stock. Mr. Glenn tells me you will soon be getting my Wesson to stock.  Guess my forend looks the same as his as I wanted an ebony tip.     Ken
