Looking for a 1000 yd range in Ohio, (besides Camp Perry)or maybe 50 miles or so into surrounding states.
Pull down target frames hopefully.
Anybody know of any.

The only one I know of this side of the border is Camp Atterbery. I am unsure of availability (although the HP guys shoot there) and it is well past the 50 mile mark.

Asst.
There is a 1000yd range around Cambridge, Ohio called Thunder Valley, it is fairly new --they have been holding the Ohio 1000yd championships [ high power] there the last couple years.
The Tusco Range at New Philly is out to 800yd--I was told last year they probably would not be able to get to 1000yd because of a property dispute.
If you go to benchrest.com and click on 1000yd you can get the skinny on the Cambridge range. leadball

There is also a range located in Wabash IN (maybe 25 miles south east of Etna Green on US 24---about the same distance from Ft Wayne as Warsaw is) that is supposed to be putting in a 1000 yd facility, along with their other ranges they have a lodge and a big gunshop as well as large archery facilities. I visited there last summer and it is a real neat place. it is on the south side of the river --maybe 5 miles sw of the town itself. It has a name like "Bucks'n Bass" or somehting like that. I'll try to get by there again later this winter when I'm working in that area and report on the status of the 1K yard range.

DWS;
I am curious about that facility. I haven't heard anything about it and will be interested in checking it out.
There is a range in the vicinity of Lagrange, IN which supposedly has 100yd capability but it is a privately owned big-buck-membership type thing so hasn't been a seriously considered. Keith and I were told they weren't interested in matches or such.
