Well gentle readers, your representatives in Ohio (and surrounding) did the Association proud.  We were invited by the Ohio Gun Collectors' Association to put up a display at their Wilmington, Ohio show this weekend.  Ramrodded by our very own Dale53, your friends and fellow members put on a 3 table display that did us proud.  Active participants included DWS, 40Rod, leadball, Asst, Charlie Persons, Bernie (the stockman) Harrell, Corky and Cloudy Day Taylor, Gary (el presidente) Staup, and others including your faithful froggie scribe who were able to make light work with many hands.

We had a multitude of visitors by and got several new and renewal members and had a LOT of interest.  A big vote of thanks to all whose efforts made this such a great success!

And it still goes on tomorrow,  at least from 8 am to 2 or 3 pm.  there are an amazing number of single shots available from what I was able to see during my breaks from working the booth.  Everything from some very big buck primo quality originals down to some utilitarian 'walls and ballards that look to be very reasonably priced.  also a fair number of German schuetzens, a big bunch on one table and others scattered around the very large room.  Its biggest gun show I've ever attended with more SS rifles than I've seen--for sale--under one roof.

Let me put it this way;  it was a long 300 mile drive to get here, but I'll be back, in fact I joined the OGCA this morning! Cheesy

Thanks to all who pulled this off in the usual ASSRA style! I was at the show and like DWS said, a very good assortment of good single shots at market prices. The booth created quite a traffic jam in the aisle. Don't forget to dig through the stuff too. I snagged a new Lyman .45 carbine mould for $30 I have been wanting and the show find for me was a tall BSA #8a martini sight. I have only seen two of these and they were both at this show!

SmileyLeadball,
It was good to be able to put a face to a name this weekend. I was able to get a proper replacement peep sight for my muzzleloading scheutzen, which I was also happy to get some info on. Your display was terrific and was enjoyed by all who stopped to look. Look forward to talking to you and others in the future.

If you come up with any hammers I am still looking for a proper one.
