stock for Browning 1885

Have a Browning 1885 Wyoming Commemorative .25-'06 with 30" octagon barrel, lovely rifle but horrible crescent buttstock. Too low for 'scope by far.   Is there a Browning factory stock with shotgun style buttplate that will fit this rifle? Will a Browning BPCR stock fit?  Or a Winchester, I understand this is the same rifle also made by Miroku.

Browning does sell the stocks for the 1885. You can get them from Brownell's or straight from Browning. I just looked in last years Brownell's catalog and they were listed at $115 for the buttstock. You need to get the stock for the 1885 not the BPCR. The BPCR stock will have the cutout for the tang while the regular stock won't. I believe the regular stock has a recoil pad and a faily high comb.  I'm not familiar with the Wyoming Comemerative but if the finish isn't the typical Browning high gloss, you may want to get a forearm also so they will match. I hope this helps and good luck.
