Rolling Block Calibers

         A friend wants me to re-barrel a #5 Rolling Block and he wants an original caliber.  I would like to chamber it in 30/30 Win, is this an original chambering for the #5 smokless action.    thanks in advance---leadball

Leadball, from my Remington book.

Remington No. 5 Special High Power Rifle. S.S. R.B Round
"Smokeless steel Barrel 24" 26" 28" , Sporting sights. Calibers 30-30 Smokeless, 7mm., 30 Govt, 303 British 32-40 H.P., 32 Winchester special, 38-55 H.P. and others. Straight grip oiled Walnut stock. Weights 7 to 7 1/4 lbs. Marked Remington Arms Co., Ilion N. Y. with patent markings on the tang same as for "Baby Carbine"
