I had one for a while and it was a good well-made accurate rifle but then I got a Shiloh and started seeing differences. Like the weight difference and that the receiver of the Pedersoli was larger hence the over 2 pound weight difference of the Pedersoli. The Shiloh also had a little bit of accuracy edge. For someone who doesn't want to want to spend Shiloh kinda money I'd recommend a Pedersoli or Uberti with the warning that they are going to be heavier. Smart shopping will always turn up good deals.

I had one that had been rechambered to .45-100 from the original .45-70.  It was very accurate, and rather heavy, but most Sharps and their copies are heavy anyway.  Had a kind of bulbous forend compared to originals as well, but this was a special target model they made back then that had a modern style target stock on it anyway.

The only things I didn't like about it was that it retained the percussion halfcock, so the hammer went way back and looked like it was cocked, and the heavy springs.  Pedersoli could do a side business as a trap factory; everything that had a spring (lever, set-trigger, main; probably some more stuff in there) pushed or pulled hard and snapped down hard going back.  I mousetrapped my hand between the lever and the tang a few times before I learned how to avoid it.

On the other hand, I never had any "light primer strikes."

My wife uses the double trigger Bodine rolling block and has won a couple of our matches with it. Not as great of a finish as a custom rifle, but well made and accurate with a good set trigger

I once had a very early one.  Not great, didn't shoot even as well as I could, but I think that EARLY was their problem and mine.

I have a Uberti "high wall" in .30/40.  I like it a lot, but it ain't a high wall.  Fine buy for the $.
