For Sale: Ballard Schuetzen Rifle with Double-Set Triggers; .38-55 Win caliber This rifle belonged to past ASSRA Member, Bob Glenn. The action has double-set triggers that function correctly. The lever is a little rough and may have come from a casting. Both sides of the action are marked AUG MEYNS and I don't know the relationship. The 30-inch barrel is full octagonal and tapers from 1.123" to 1.009" at the muzzle. The barrel is unmarked, even under the forearm. The bore is excellent! ... shiny, smooth as butter, and clean. The Schoyen-style wood is very nice and has a very good wood-to-metal fit on the buttstock and forearm. The rifle weights 13lbs 5 oz. Family's Price: $2,100 includes shipping via US Priority Mail ... and I will donate $10 to the ASSRA First "I'll take it" posted here, gets it. Thank you, Joe D

Looks like that stock is going to birth a #3 gallery rifle in about 3 months.

People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

Nice rifle at a fair price. Just about perfect for a traditional-minded shooter wanting a good OH rifle. Do you know the rifling twist rate?

The “AUG MEYNS” marking on a Ballard Schuetzen rifle refers to the maker of the action — August Meyns — a German gunsmith known for producing high‑quality lever‑action rifles, including the Ballard Schuetzen model
