Ben Rice Triggers

I see a lot of mention of Ben Rice triggers. I picked up a set of widespaced double set triggers for a high wall a couple of years ago. How do you know if Ben Rice was the manufacturer? Did he have any marks on his or were there any significant things about his that made them different so it can be identified? Does anybody know how many sets he made ? Thanks, Bob

Bob,
The rifle I just bought is said to have Rice triggers. I’ve had the action apart several times and have examined the triggers closely. There’s not a mark on them. I’d also like to know. 
It is a nice set of triggers whoever made it!

Was he known to have made double-sets for Stevens 44 1/2's too?

Jim, the only identifying mark on my wide spaced double sets is a Q marked on the top of the tang between the two outer screws. Schuetzenbob says he has a set of triggers on his .22 that were made by Bo Clerke. That's why I'm trying to figure out who might have made my triggers.
