Winchester HW octagon receiver ring

When did Winchester dispense with the octagonal receiver ring on High Walls? One of my rifles has that and I've often wondered about it.

According to John Campell's book the thin side octagon top was sprinkled in production thru out production. There is one with a 92000 serial number.
