I am not counting the crushed coil spring action I got for free. It possibly could be repaired but I use it for stock fitting.

Stock fitting? Grin

When I rough in a stock to action fit which I don't do a lot of.  It was free anyway.  Steve Barber made a suggestion on how to fix it with heat directed only to the spot that needs expanding so that the entire action does not need to be re-heat treated

Looks like someone tried to unscrew it with the extractor in place.

It was from attempting to remove a stuck 219 Zipper barrel.  It is an action with the tunnel for the ejector so it has a very thin wall at that location.  I had to bore the barrel stub out until it was very thin and then I cut a slot in the end so I could insert an old lawnmower blade to act as a big screw driver.

Stuff like that usually happens when guys don't block up the receivers before putting an action wrench on to remove a very tight barrel.
No way the receiver would collapse if it was properly blocked before attempting to remove the barrel. Those thin sidewalls are the one weak point of the 1885 actions.

I ended up buying a block from eBay that had been bushed but not drilled.  I use it as a filler when removing a stubborn barrel.
