Creedmoor documents

Hello Everyone!
I am in the process of gradually downsizing and one of the items is a set of documents from the 1800s relating to the Creedmoor and other rifle shoots. I think the most interesting one is a handbill from NRA soliciting  Members of the National guard to furnish skilled riflemen to sustain the honor and dignity of the United States and donations to fund the match between the National Guards of American and the volunteers of Great Britain.
In order to decide where to go with these, I would like some idea of what their collector value might be. If anyone can help me out, please let me know what you think. I do not expect to get a huge amount of money but I would like to know what a reasonable fair market value might be.
Thanks!
Joe S

Very cool paperwork! I can't begin to give a guesstimate of sale value, but it's something anyone interested in our shooting history would enjoy owning. Love it!

Ever get the feeling that you were born 100 years too late?

Joe,
If I was in your position I would first determine how rare are these documents. I'd start with the ASSRA archives to see if there are any of yours in there. Next I'd check with the NRA Museum/Archives. (If they do not have them perhaps they may be interested in purchasing.) Finally I'd check to see if the Cody Museum has these.
Determine the scarcity then look at sales of similar items.
That is how I would proceed it if they were in my possession.

I have three passions in life, history, hockey and shooting. I have read enough history to realize that I was lucky to live in the time that I did. I can do all the shooting I want, have not had to go to war, no famine, made it through Covid, and the Red Scare,  etc. I was able to go to a gun show and buy a like new SKS for $60, got a like new M-1 Garand (international Harvestor) for $200, and a like new Rem 40X from CMP. I was in my 20s when Hockey really took off and was able to play in an informal adult pickup league for about  25 years, which I enjoyed more than shooting, even though I was the worst excuse for a hockey player ever!
Things were pretty rough 100 years ago in a lot of ways that are not depicted on TV or in the movies. 100 years ago a good rifle cost a lot more (relatively speaking) than one does today, and not many were able to own more than one or two. Ammunition was pricey too.
It would have been great to experience some of the events and culture of 100 years ago but I think we need to take a minute and reflect on how good we actually have it now, could be a lot worse!
Thanks for the comments! Always enjoy other people's thoughts and ideas!

A very insightful description of the time period in which you (and I) got to enjoy firearms, Joe. My compliments and thanks for the reminder.

I have a Creedmoor program booklet from 1876 that identifies the different targets, matches, and prizes. I think I got it as a gift from a friend and collector. I have been watching eBay and the auction houses for other examples, but this type of material rarely comes up for sale.

Content, graphics, colors, and condition make up a lot of the value. Two of your pages like the donation page and The New York Tribune have graphics and color. The other pages are asking for money to help the NRA for the following year's match.

A wild guess for the pieces you've shown would be $40-50 per page for those with graphics and about half for the others. That is how I would value them.
