I am looking for a 4 hole screw on receiver sight from a Winder high wall.  I am really only interested in the bracket as I have a project in mind. With that thought in mind I am looking for cheep!

Thought I had both a complete sight and a bracket without the rest.  Went and dug through a few of my useless junk boxes and couldn't find any.  Did find 3 of these, I think the center one of them came from these high wall muskets.

I get so much of this stuff accumulated I sometimes get disgusted and empty a box into the scrap iron bucket.

Did that today with gun/sight screws.  Started to sort them into my gun screw organizers, realized how many I have already, and walked over to the iron bucket and dumped them in. (after taking out the most likely ones)

But, a couple days ago I needed a screw for a Browning Buckmark, it's an odd screw with a large flat head and tapered seat, and amazingly enough, there was one in the screw organizer that fit perfectly.  I guess we all save this stuff for that reason.

I looked through the lots on Curt Hardcastle's auction today.  I was tempted to bid on a bunch of it.  Thought better of it, I already have plenty of my own already.  Enough to last the rest of my lifetime.

I think I have one.  I'll dig it out tomorrow and shoot you a picture.
If it works, just send me the postage and pay it forward

Thanks for looking Dave.  If you find my missing Merrit Eyedisc let me know. I had set it aside so I could take it to the hardware store to look for a rubber shade replacement and now it is missing.

Sorry bpjack, I was unable to find the site before leaving on vacation.  I'll be gone a couple of weeks and if you still haven't located one, I'll keep digging when I get home.

I thought for sure I knew exactly where it was but apparently my train wreck organization failed me.  I'm sure I have one but finding it might be a different story
Apologies

I found my second Merit eyedisc!  after searching through all the drawers and parts boxes, I had a vision last night s I was trying to get to sleep.  There it was mounted on my Unertl tube sight in my garage safe!

Is this what You are hunting for? I had to make the windage parts and they are not perfect but base is original.

Those sights are easily damaged.  All that's needed is for the rifle to get knocked over, or even bumped a lot.

I have a project in mind.  If it works out I will post the results here.  If not you can find it buried deep in my back woods.

Are you thinking about converting it into a scope mount?

Part of a scope mounting system. Coupled with a temporary forend with a metal bracket.  Both connected with a 1/4” by 1/2” wide rail with Unertl style blocks. But don’t tell anyone
