Thanks. It started out as a 32-40 then rebarreled to 40-70. And, now it’s a 45-70. She’s had many lives.

High walls are the easiest to swap barrels on. I play musical calibers on many of mine.

I like the wood on that HW. Mine is rather plain but it too has been re bored from 32-40 to 45-70, skipped the 40-70 part AFAIK.
It also has the old style Winchester loops designed for the old sling hooks. They work fine with modern QD sling swivels too.
