I'm new to this platform and the 8.15x46 cartridge.
I'm not using black powder and I'm not breech seating.
What is considered good accuracy given the information above?

A lot will depend on the condition of the rifle and how well your ammunition is matched to the chamber and bore.  I had one that was a mid 1920’s Martini style action built by Anschuetz .  After monkeying around with it, it shot close to my 32-40 rifles. I was a using IMR 4227 and bullets cast from an Accurate mold.  I had the mold made to get past the long throat from the stop ring bullet.
Another one I should have kept……….. Undecided
Mike.

If the barrel is good and you can get a bullet that's at least .001 over groove size, I think you should be able to get 2 moa, if you do everything right.

That includes case length (it will need to be longer than 46mm) and a COAL that gets the bullet into the lands. A well fitting, bore riding nose, will also help.

A stop ring bullet will also shot very well but, there is a lot more fitting to do with them. Not just any SR bullet will shoot well.

Start with 12.0 gr 4227 and work up to 14.5 in .5 gr increments. Mine shoots best at 12.0.

Using groove diameter stop ring bullets and 13.5 gr 4227 my Aydt shoots to call at 200 yards. Shoots to call from the standing position.
