Maybe see if the current Pope would dispatch a commando team of Swiss Guards to "liberate" the Pope rifle and convey it to you? Sort of a professional courtesy for a predecessor. 

I wonder if Pope suffered Pope jokes when he was alive?

There seems to have been a miracle involved with this package. It arrived in a Seattle at 6:51 am on the 13th and then arrived in Reno at 12:11 pm. Maybe the post office is experimenting with teleportation.

Well the DST .22 I bought at the same time was enjoying itself in Phoenix for a few days but when his brother the Pope rifle showed up in Seattle he decided to catch up.  Fingers crossed that both will show up at my Post Office tomorrow.

Long time ago I ordered a berry juicer from Finland. This was in the early days of tracking number technology. The juicer was going from Portland to Seattle and then to Port Angeles and then to Portland and... I live near Quilcene. So I finally called Fedex and asked them if I needed to stand in my yard and shoot the airplane down to get my juicer. There was sixteen gallons of huckleberries in the fridge trying to ferment. A week after my call the juicer arrived.

Jack, when Biggi made her first trip over to see me, on the first evening at my place she challenged me to make a quick desert for her. So I had pancake batter made up, huckleberry syrup made up, and a block of Philadelphia cheese in the fridge. Fried a flapjack, made up a quick sweet cheese filling, rolled it up in the pancake put a toothpick in it and poured H syrup on it. Didn't take fifteen minutes. She just about fell over.
That is what the picture is. And it was good.

I had a rifle land at the post office at Mackay. Called the post office and asked them to hold it. I drove up and got it. 

The Pope arrived!
