	The collapsed case mouths are telling you that the ignition is taking place after the bullet and some of the powder has moved out of the cartridge case. This is not an uncommon occurrence. CHRIS

	In modern br a trick used is to cross hatch the chamber lightly with 1200 or so abrasive paper. This allows capture of the brass during expansion and prevents the case slamming the face. It also helps hold any lube used. Worked on my 40-70.
