Tang sight question

I just got back from a good gun auction. Nothing of interest in rifles but a lot of junk boxes filled with some really cool stuff among which was a box of sights one of which is a Lyman tang sight with the code JJ. I know that J is for Marlin but I can find no reference to JJ. Do you think that this was a double stamp or is it something that I am unaware of?  Thanks

If the spacing is for a Marlin then I'd assume it's a double stamp.
J code is a Marlin 1893 in .32-40 or .38-55 and JAA is for the other 1893's in smokeless cartridges like .25-36M, .30-30, .32 Win. Spl.

1.125" for All Marlin lever actions, and Ballard rifles.

Spacing on this is 1.425", the mystery grows.

Stevens is @1.50", so wonder what it could fit?
