Picked it up Saturday at the Hamilton match. Just finished doing adjustments and adding sights. 33-40 caliber.

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

A real beauty Joe!
I always liked the Laudensak version over the Helm versions.

Joe that looks great. If I saw it in the rack I would know it was one of your rifles Smiley

It was just sitting there looking all glittery and nice and since I suffer from Anamnionicitis, I bit. Mike Otterberg also suffers from the ailment so he bought a gorgious Ballard. We couldn't help ourselves.  In a hundred years.....

I don't ever see anything as nice as that around here.  If and when I ever do, my wallet will get friction burns from getting the cash out so fast  Smiley

Mr. Turner,

That is a very nice-looking 1885. Great find. I trust you shot well and that everyone had a good time.

Cheers

Where were you Rick?  I did not shoot well. Had a good time however. It was a good match with a good turnout.

Kevin Ericson shot well as usual. A new to us shooter Robb Kauffman shot well also taking second place.

Had the new rifle out shooting today. Windy and no windflags as usual. Had some nice tight groupings in the patterns. The bullet I thought would work was awful and the NEI two diameter spitzer bullet I didn't think would work shot best.  Sad

Maybe you make it next year?

Wes

I just got an email signed by all of your Ballard rifles complaining about your new Winchester. They threatened to never shoot well again if you keep that Dick Binger high wall.  Don’t worry though my high walls have agreed to adopt it immediately.
