Unfortunately it appears that the Merit Eyedisc company is out of business. I began looking for a replacement light shield and struck out. I did just read about a guy who found a rubber O ring that fit tightly and glued a large black rubber washer to it that looked and worked well.
  
People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

Yep. If you have Merit Adjustable Iris apertures it's best to hang onto them. (Unless you have one to sell. I stupidly sold the last one I had unwittingly not knowing it was my last one! Tongue )
