I made up a batch of lube to try pan lube for the first time. 
The formula was 1 pound of paraffin wax + 1 pound of Vaseline + 2 oz of RCBS case lube + a couple drops of red dye after the lube was liquid. 
I used a double boiler to melt the batch and heated the bullets to 150 degrees, before pouring the lube into the pan. 
After cooling, I pushed bullets out but lube didn’t stick in the grooves 
A friend who had used this formula said that my lube was way too hard. 
We reviewed the formula and procedure but could find no obvious answer to the lack of sticking.
Any idea as to what I did wrong?
Can the lube be saved?
