Seeking information on subject rifle barrel and chamber. Wondering if these were made to shoot stop ring bullets like the German Aydt rifles in 8.15X46R. I do not own this rifle yet, just considering. It is an earlier version if that matters.

Frequently referred to as stalking rifles, they used fixed ammunition.

That makes sense since this is a hunting rifle vs a target rifle. If I get this I will be hoping it has a bore dia close to my other 8.15 and 32 cal rifles so I will have a bullet that works. I find it interesting/intriguing that they named a rifle after the world famous Swiss archer/crossbow shooter William Tell.

I kind of have doubts if it really matters. My stalking rifle is very happy with stop ring bullets. I just wish I had the claw mounts that go with its bases to see what it could really do.

New England Custom Gun Service makes the claw mount rings. They are the only source I know of and they are pricey. They have to be hand fit I am told.
