Hello
One more from Reno gunshow
A pair of OA Bremer re-de cappers
The brass one does not have a spring and the nickel one the pin is broken, is there a way to get the old pin out?

The brass one has a serial number?

Thanks, Don

great pair. Honestly I would leave the one alone as the pin is I am sure is harder than the body its in and if you try an drill it out it will drift off and just make a mess.
If it were mine and I wanted to use it I would make a complete new shaft and use it. Keeping the original as is.
Just an opinion.

You're making me really jealous with so many wonderful finds at the Reno show! I have a repro Bremer tool that Rodney made for my two Bremer rifles, but would love to find an original!

The broken pin should be app. .078 or .080. Just face the stub flat and chuck a carbide 5/64 end mill and drill it out. The end mills are all over the internet for between $8 and $12.Center it beforehand of course. Should be a piece of cake.

Those re- and decappers sure do look like the ones Barry Darr made for a while.  I never got one of those either!  Embarrassed
