On the STandard Arms Model G semiauto,,there is a small dovetailed into place plate right behind the front sight.
The plate looks like a dovetail filler block.
Under that plate is the gas adjustment screw.
You need a small special wrench to turn the adj screw (used to be provided with the rifle).
I don't remember what the wrench tip looked like.

Turning the adj all the way closed,,the rifle becomes a manual operation repeater. 
Fire the rifle and it remains closed.

Open and close the bolt (eject case and chamber a new one) by use of the forend like a Pump Gun after releasing the forend by pressing the button on it.

Open the gas port up and the rifle becomes a semiauto.
