For Sale: Gibbs Farquharson 1877 - complete custom rifle built using one of  Rodney Storie's cast action kits

I don't know who did the metal or wood work, but this is a very nice rifle built using one of Rodney Storie's cast action kits.

The action functions as designed. The only criticism I have is that when the lever is dropped, it wiggles slightly sideways. The hole in the lever could be bushed to correct this. If you have time, talent, and machinery, this isn't a difficult fix. When the lever is locked under the trigger guard, it is fine, no wiggle.

The barrel measures approx. 26-1/2 long and is chambered for the .375 Winchester cartridge. The bore is very good.

The barrel has a re fiber-optic element front sight on a sporting rifle ramp -and- a hard to find Lyman 103 windage adjustable rear tang sight.

The walnut stocks are solid. It has traditional English-style panels in front of and behind the action. About the only thing missing is checkering, but it really doesn't need it. The buttstock ends with an engraved trapdoor buttplate, inlet for three cartridges.

Price: $2,490 includes shipping via US Priority Mail.
