Hello all, I recently had my Davis 30x scope cleaned and repaired by Bob Seipp in Pennsylvania and am very pleased with the whole transaction so thought I'd give him a plug here on this thread.  I asked him if it would be alright and he said it would be fine.  He said that he's been repairing these old scopes for about 30 years and has had some parts special made for them - like some of the thumbscrews for the mounts etc.  His turn-around time is very reasonable - on average about 1 month normally.  He said that he doesn't charge to give an estimate, but just the shipping charges back to the owner if they decline. Communication with him was very good, keep me updated on the progress of the project.  His Shipping/packaging was outstanding, and the scope is working perfectly again!  You can text/leave a message for him @ 973-714-7958.
