Ballard roller-tip (roller-nose) mainsprings

For Ballard owners that want a lighter weight smoother working mainspring, Steve Earle now has them available for $39.60 + shipping.  He was out of stock for several months as were other suppliers such as CPA that sorced the mainsprings from Steve.  I'm not aware of anyone else that makes them.

I have them in two of my Ballards. I can't tell if they make a positive difference in lock time but I like the idea of them so that's good enough, I guess!

Ballards may be weaker,
but they sure are neater!

I tried one once, but didn't notice any difference I could feel. So the rest all have factory mainsprings.

I have them in a couple, hammer cocks smoother. I would guess hammer fall is faster as smooth as they cock. What a machinist!

With the roller-tip spring the hammer cocks a bit lighter and smoother in my ballard.
