	Well Joe unfortunately it is too late to check with Fred May he rest in peace. If I had bagpipes I would play a time in his honor. I use a 3 point system. I insure that the barrel is in the same spot on the front bag, then check that the rear stock is positioned correctly. I typically have the most forward edge of the buttplate at the rear edge of the bag ears. Then I adjust the front rest height so the point of aim is about 6” above the bull. Then I squeeze the rear bag to bring the sights to the bull before pulling the trigger and cussing.

	People who think they know everything are a great annoyance to those of us who do.

	I have a rubber spacer/donut/stabilizer that is decades old and I can not find one of this type when I search now. Some are using the thick rubber used in horse stalls and cutting that to size. You can hollow out the center which greatly helps stability if your bag is packed with a bottom less than perfectly flat. We use the horse stall mats at my Club on some of the benchtops and it is very grippy material. Tractor Supply is a source.

	Pretty simple. Spray a little water on bench under rear bag, it will stay put.
