40-70 load

Took my "not quite original" Hepburn to the range this morning and tried the Unique load that was suggested to me. Got a best three shot group of 1.800 inches with a called flyer as I pulled the shot. I am very pleased with the less recoil of the 400gr Brooks bullet too. Shot 40 rounds without too much discomfort. Much less fouling than the 4198 load I was using. I need to cast some more but it was 105 degrees here today so I may have to wait till it cools off some.

105*  !!!!  Too hot for me. That is about 25* hotter than here at 6000ft elevation in Montana.
I did some loading and shooting today with a 22 Lovell and a 230 Ackley mag.  It was perfect shooting weather.

It is typical for the summer here in middle Ga. Temps last week were in the mid nienties all week and with the humidity the "feels like" temperature is about 105. You never get used to it you just learn to live with it. Do your work in the early morning before 11:00am or around midnight. I try to shoot around 8:00 before it gets hot.
