Nice original Union Hill with 30” barrel and factory checkering.

Still some case color showing. Wood showing the very lightest of cracking at wrist.

Good crown, bore is in my opinion an 8.5/10

Lock up is tight, nice trigger, hammer retains safety notch.

Winchester front globe sight, factory Marlin midrange rear.

Only parting with it because I replaced it with an engraved Rigby.

That is a wonderful rifle.  I shot my first schuetzen with a Union Hill #9 in 38/55.  A friend loaned the rifle with ammo to me.  It was in 1992 at the old North Carolina schuetzen matches (just south of Ashville).
