WTB a Lyman .439 sizing die. Luckily acquired a .43 Spanish mold reasonable, now for the holy grail.

I recently found one in ebay for decent price.  Also a top punch.  I have 2 rolling block in 43 Spanish,  a cool carbine I need to shoot.  I've shot my rifle a few times,  using a mild smokeless load.

I usually use 18 grains of IMR 4198 for BP rifles, never a problem. What is your favorite load?

Condorsc have you slugged the barrel? Often they are larger than .439. I had a very nice rifle that was 446.

You will probably be better off pan lubing the bullets, especially if they are .441-.443.  Larger diameter bullets will shoot better than any of them sized to .439".  What is the ID of a fired case neck?

I use 16.0grs is unique,  or 14.6gr of SB-620.  The cases aren't smoky,  feels almost like a 45-70.  Shoots truck tire MOA offhand at 100yd.   
SB-620 is a Serbian powder I got surplus from GB. It was tested at SB White and has 10% more pressure than Unique.  I've used it in my 56-50 Spencer,  my 577 Snider and the 43. I was running bullets as cast, they were slightly over size.

My 43 rifle has sharp crisp rifling,  I used a 454 CNB conical to slug it.  It is a prefect .439.
It was advertised as a possible 45-70.  I was hoping, ( dreaming) it was a 44-77.  But it didn't happen.  Although my 44-77 brass fits,  the bore was wrong. 
My carbine has a slight amount of wear,  but still great rifling for a carbine.  It isn't a cut down rifle,  but a true carbine.  Again,  it was billed as a 45-70,  but it wasn't. I haven't slugged it,  but I haven't shot it either.  I need it to cool down below 100f .

Have not. Usually do first, but planning on slugging. Mold and sizer so hard to find I concentrated on that first. Somebody refurbished it, including a polish and a reblue. Tastefully done, love it. Wood is good. So far a keeper.

Haven't fired it yet. Just got some cast  439186s.
