[SOLD] JP Sauer Single Shot Stalking Rifle 9,3x57
Yesterday at 6:01pm
Print Post
For Sale: J.P. Sauer & Sohn Single Shot Stalking Rifle; serial no.: 117740; caliber: 9,3x57mm; approx. 27" barrel with an excellent bore

The title above, says it all I think. The barrel is tight and on face. The action retains a lot of its original case-coloring.

Price: $925.00 includes shipping via US Priority Mail

First "I'll take it" posted here gets it, and if it sells here, I will donate $10 to the ASSRA

Thank you,
Joe D

Joe, is it the 9.3x57R (360)? This is essentially the European version of the British 360 2 1/4. It appears to be a rimmed cartridge in your pictures.

There are two different 9.3x57r cartridges.

One is the 9.3x57r based on the 7x57r and is a fairly powerful cartridge.

The second is the 9,3x57/360 which is based on the 360 2 1/4" BPE.  This is the German version of the 360 BPE and is a fairly mild cartridge.  It was intended for shooting small deer (roe deer)

My expectation is that this rifle is a 9.3x57r/360.

I asked Wes what he would be stalking with this rifle and he indicated it would be squirrels!  Offhand head shots only. He is a good shot!

Sqib loads of course. I'll call it the sqibs for squirrels caper.

If I were hunting squirrel back in Tacoma, full blown loads.
