[SOLD] Stevens 47 25-20 SS w Double-Set Triggers (Read 427 times)

	For Sale: Stevens No. 47 Modern Range rifle; Serial No.: 4632; caliber: .25-20 SS; 30-inch part-octagonal barrel with a good bore Starting with the action, this rifle has a 44-1/2 action with double-set triggers. The face of the action is stamped "47" and "EX". The double-set triggers work as they should. The action has been re-finished by CPA Rifles. The matching barrel measures 30 inches long and tapers from 1.054" at the breech to 0.938" at the muzzle. The barrel has its original rust-blued finish, and the bore is fair to good (but leaning towards good ... see last pic). The rifle has a Lyman peep sight and a Stevens globe front sight. The stocks are original and have not been refinished. The wood to metal fit is good, but the buttstock looks like its slightly off where it meets the rear of the action. There is a finger nail width gap near the top. Price: $1,950 includes shipping via US Priority Mail First "I'll take it" posted here gets it, and I'll donate $10 to the ASSRA for selling it here. 	Mr Joe you sure have nice things to sell as of late. Most well if the truth be known all are out of my range but very nice none the less. I look at these old guns sometimes and just wonder about the history. Yep got some nice stuff... JMH

	Congrats to the buyer, very nice rifle. I would guess that the tangs are very slightly bent,especially the top tang. If so, careful bending of the tangs back would likely correct the buttstock fitment at the frame.
