Anyone have a recommendation for a mold for an old 28-30.  Something in the range of 120-145 or so grains.

Thanks

Ive had good luck with Saeco #539 tapered bullet. Now obsolete but I scored an extra on e bay couple years ago.30 to 1 a little under 140 gr. My 28 30 is on a high wall [ plenty strong ]I breech seat it ahead of 2400. Shoots well. 4227 may work for you as well,as for powder charge proceed with caution. 1F also shoots well and as you know , full case and no worries

Shanghai,

If you want to try some of the MOS 28s in 20-1, I can send you a few.

Just regular Jack

Hoch made a very nice 135 grain bullet design. Similar in shape to the Saeco. In my rifle out to 200 yards it shoots as well as the Mos. Longer distances the Mos has less drop.
