It would be nice to make Alaska a contiguous part of the US and I'm sure it would greatly improve of the medical care of all Canucks, you could also have hand guns as well as one language.

I think Tom would have been all for it.

Canada has less expensive medical care and everyone has medical coverage.
The results of the better medical care in Canada are confirmed by the following statistics:

Lifespan: 79.8 years USA versus 83.1 years Canada
Infant Mortality: 6.3/1,000 USA versus 5.0/1,000 Canada
Maternal Mortality: 33/100,000 versus 11/100,000 Canada
Bankruptcies: 66.5% USA versus 19% Canada due to medical bills

Most of the murders in Canada are due to the illegal smuggling of handguns from the USA.

Murder Rate: 4/100,000 USA versus 1.9/100,000 Canada
Home Ownership: 65.7% USA versus 66.5% Canada
American home owners average 46 years of age before they own a home now.

BUT, how long do you have to wait to get treatment for more complicated (or may be any) procedures.

The hand guns have to be illegal because your Gov't won't allow them. I'm sure there are lots of non murders with illegal US hand guns, too. It is not the gun that kills.

I love Canada and was going to immigrate there in 2002 but, you had to have money and jump threw a bunch of hoops, that is, unless I would have had a boy friend that I could move in with and then I could have moved right a way.

I'm more than half way to 82, so, maybe my trips to BC got me over the US lifespan Smiley
