Planning on a DZ. Thought I could also use it for LR when I need a scope. Any advice?

Good choice. I have two small game Unertls thinking they would work but the hash marks in the bright light reflecting off the polished aluminum just did not work for me. I ended up buying two sets of DZ mounts which are not cheap.  They worked much better as the numbers are spread out on both sides of a vertical line and alternate so have wider spacing and are much easier to read. MVA are good quality but the hash marks are so hard to read.  Set the scope up on 7.2 inch centered bases and each hash mark will be a half a minute. They will read just like a soule but in opposite directions.
