Josh, when I send a PM to another member, is that message and information totally private and not accessible by anyone else?   
I can’t prove it yet, but I think I was scammed through the forum somehow and I’m am trying to work out a solution, for myself at least, to skirt any possible actions from a scammer

This scammer somehow got between the seller and me and started messaging my as the seller, using the sellers phone number, so it appeared I was talking with the seller.  He new enough information to convince me he was legit.  Neither the seller nor I have our phone numbers list anywhere here publicly that I can find, so he found those somewhere else.  I can’t see the original seller post anymore but I doubt he had his phone number listed, I’m sure I didn’t.

For anyone reading this, be aware these people are really good!  I lost nearly $1000 on the deal.

The reason for me asking about the security of the PM system is, because I am thinking, from now on using PM’s to setup a code word or phrase, so in any off the forum conversation, I can confirm who I am talking with.
