heavy trigger pull on 044 1/2

The trigger pull on my 0441/2 is well over 5 pounds, what is the best way to reduce the trigger pull on my little rifle?  Will thinning the hammer spring lighten the pull? Who makes new hammer springs , I don't want to start messing with mine if I cannot replace it.Any help will be appreciated.

A good cleaning, light polishing of the hammer and lube helps.

The main spring is the same as the 44 1/2 and generally in stock at CPA.

Almost right where the lever contacts the lower tang is a screw that will adjust the spring tension.

The sear/trigger spring for the 044 1/2 uses the same spring as the favorites, 44,and 44 1/2's,as long as it's a standard single trigger.
Perhaps someone replaced the sear spring in your rifle with a heavier one.
