Randy, does the set screw mean that you can adjust the kissing part up and down the stem for cases of different lengths?

Yes. It's adjustable for length. It can be adjusted between putting a noticeable bell on the case mouth or not touching the case mouth at all. The length adjustment is handy when using the tool for different rifles that have cases trimmed to precisely fit a particular chamber length.
