.35 Wesson?

Does anyone have information on what a .35 Wesson might be?  I ran into a rifle (on the internet) that might be chambered for it, but have no idea what it might be.

The rifle is an original 1885 that has been rebarreled and restocked clearly intended for mid or long range bpcr as it has a big cheek riser and what looks like one of Jim Klusken's tilted long range front sights on it.

I know there was at least one attempt to get the nra to accept a 35 cal cartridge for ling range, but that was a different cartridge than whatever a 35 Wesson is.  Any thoughts?

Chris.

I have a 35 Wesson reamer and it is basically a 30-40 Krag brass with a straight taper at 2 1/2” long.

Thanks. I figured it would have been based on the Krag case.

Do you have any references to it in an original rifle?  It's not in my Cartridges of the World, or any of my Grant books.  I found one reference on a web forum but it is just a table that lists cartridge dimensions for Frank Wesson rifle cartridges.

thanks,

Chris.
