Dave, of all the forums out there this is by far the easiest to post pics on. Now, why don't you tell us what you have tried and then it will be easier to correct you.
Hint: just look at the window you are typing your response in and see just below to the left that word Attachments and also directly below the little box with Choose File written in it? Give it a try. Experiment Easy Peasy

The reality is there are several methods to size and crop photos nut it depends on the following:
1. Windows or Mac?
1a. If Windows what version??
2. iPhone or iPad or other mobile device?
3. Pictures on your device or on a hosting sire?
Personally I take most shots with my iPhone and email them to my desktop Mac. From there it is easy to use the built-in Preview app to crop, adjust color, brightness etc and then size appropriately.
You Windows users are on your own these days as my professional career supporting mostly Windows PCs and servers ended two weeks before the covid lockdown. Before I was hired by the state, I worked in several Mac dealerships and it was that expertise that got me a job that eventually ended up supporting Windows operating systems (mostly servers) in an agency with 7000+ users and over 700 servers. Now I am a happy Mac only guy again.

Bpjack,
I have an apple iPad for my photos. They did an update a while back, and it doesn’t allow you resize photos. I have to go to an online photo crop and it’s a p.i.t.a.! That’s why I quit posting photos.
Photos are on my iPad

Sorry I don't have an iPad any longer. I had an original that died a long time ago.
I found this video, thick accent!
