Breech Seater Stevens

Will a Breech Seater for a 32-40 Stevens 44-1/2 fit a CPA 32-40? I seem.to remember something about it fits Stevens to CPA but not CPA to Stevens 44-1/2 due to smaller frame size. Or am I just dreaming in my old age? Thanks.

It may depend on the design of the particular seater. I'd bet that if you call CPA they can answer your question.

While not a specific reply, I recently had a breech seater made for my 1-year old CPA. The gunsmith required to have my rifle while he made the tool. He wanted to make sure things “worked together”.

Should work fine 44 1/2 to CPA. The hammer sits higher on the original 44 1/2 so it has more clearance issues for a breach seater.
